Description/outline
This project adopts a following three-pronged approach: (i) accelerated implementation of Unite Aware (UA) in remaining peacekeeping missions, leveraging lessons learned to streamline delivery and address known challenges; (ii) continuous enhancement of the UA platform through module upgrades and new functionalities to meet evolving peacekeeping needs; (iii) deeper integration with the broader peacekeeping data ecosystem by aligning field-level situational awareness with DPO’s digital transformation and data strategy.

Synopsis

Objectives

The project aims to enhance field mission capabilities to leverage data for integrated operational planning and analysis in support of decision-making.

Components

The project’s main components include supporting the implementation and use of Unite Aware (UA); deploying short-term expert support to missions to guide UA implementation; aligning the platform with mission-specific operational needs; continuously improving existing UA modules; delivering training to mission personnel on the effective use of UA to strengthen data collection, analysis, and visualization; enhancing interoperability between UA and other data systems; enabling missions to produce data-informed decision-making products; strengthening partnerships to improve data sharing, inter-system integration, and joint analysis; establishing feedback loops between field missions and headquarters; and ensuring that technology-enabled insights enhance mandate implementation.
