The workshop was organized by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago and the Inter-American Committee Against Terrorism (CICTE) of the Organization of American States (OAS). A 1540 Workshop on 'Building New Synergies on Nuclear Security' was held in New Delhi, India, on 30 November-1 December 2012.  This was organized by India in cooperation with the UN Office of Disarmament Affairs.
