Opening of the session by the Chair of the Committee.
Election of officers - At the beginning of its 43rd session, the Committee elected a Chair, two Vice-Chairs and a Rapporteur to serve for 43rd and 44th Sessions. More information about the Bureau.
Adoption of the agenda and programme of work - The provisional agenda has been prepared on the basis of consultations among the members of the Bureau of the Committee.
Admission of new members - The Committee considered requests for membership in the Committee. Latvia has been admitted. Full list of Committee members

Statement by the Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications - The Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications addressed the Committee at its opening meeting to provide an update on the activities of the Department of Global Communications and to report on the implementation of the recommendations contained in General Assembly resolutions 75/101A and B.
Informal interactive meeting of the Committee - An informal interactive meeting of the Committee was held at 3 p.m. on 26 April, allowing members of the Committee to exchange ideas with, and pose questions to, the senior management of the Department of Global Communications.
