Participants came together at the June 12 Civil Society Public Forum to discuss and exchange ideas and next steps on the summit process.

On going youth consultation has been happening. Youth moment and youth events before the Pre-Summit will be happening and we are looking forward to having participation of young people directly at the Pre-Summit. We have been accepted to some youth parallel sessions which we are all looking forward to. Highlighting the role of youth in the summit is very important.” – Advocate and Youth Vice-Chair of Action Track 2, Lana Weidgenant

This session was part of a series of open-door events which started last year aimed to allow everyone to get involved and ask questions on the Summit engagement process. During this Forum, representatives from each of the five Action Tracks and the Food Systems Summit Dialogues shared the progress of idea generation and the next steps in the Summit process. The conversation focused on the Pre-Summit and beyond. Participants were also invited to reflect on progress and provide feedback.

The UN Food Systems Summit provides an opportunity to raise awareness and elevate public discussion about how reforming our food systems can help us all to achieve the SDGs by 2030.
