Capacity Development and Advisory Services
Morocco
During the period 2007-2011, under the leadership of DPAD, various capacity development initiatives were implemented in Morocco. These initiatives helped to carry out a quantitative analysis which determined public policies and financing strategies that can be conducive to MDGs achievement. The Government has adopted an integrated macro-micro analytical framework in order to better inform policy decision making for timely achievement of the MDGs.
The main partner for capacity development activities in Morocco was the Commissariat for Planning. The Regional Bureau for Arab States (RBAS) has also been a key partner in funding and logistical support for implementation of capacity development activities. The World Bank provided technical assistance during the implementation of capacity development projects.
