Power to the People: UNAIDS 2019 Report

English

The number of people living with HIV who are on treatment continues to rise, with an estimated 24.5 million [21.5–25.5 million] receiving antiretroviral therapy in mid-2019—more than double the number on treatment in 2012. However, gaps across the HIV testing and treatment cascade have left the world short of the 2020 goal of 30 million people on treatment, and nearly half (47%) of people living with HIV in 2018 had unsuppressed viral loads.
