Connecting the dots: Supporting Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 16, Arms Trade Treaty and Program of Action implementation through increased parliamentary engagement and action in international processes

Sub-Saharan Africa: Cameroon, DRC, Kenya, Malawi and Zimbabwe

Latin America: Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Nicaragua

South East Asia:  Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Timor Leste, Vietnam

Goal: Contribute to the achievement of more peaceful and developed societies by means of parliamentary action advancing the implementation of the Arms Trade Treaty, the Programme of Action and Sustainable Development Goal 16.4.

Activities: Development of a parliamentary action plan to guide and support universalization, implementation and coordination on ATT, PoA, SDG Target 16.4 at the national and regional level. The project foresees parliamentary participation in the 2018 Review Conference and its Preparatory Committee. The project includes gender perspectives throughout.
