Laying the foundations for facilitating assistance and capacity-building for effective implementation of the ATT

Goal: Ensure effective implementation of the ATT by providing support for coordinating international assistance and reporting on implementation measures.

Activities and Outputs:

An online training and capacity-building tutorial tool was developed containing guidance notes and a video to enable ATT State Parties to complete the survey ‘Arms Trade Treaty: Baseline Assessment Questionnaire’ on the ATT-BAP Portal.

The survey was promoted at the Preparatory Meeting for the First Conference of States Parties of the Arms Trade Treaty in Port-of-Spain and the Fourth Meeting of the informal Expert Group on Arms Trade Treaty Implementation, organized by SaferWorld, Fundacio Arias Para La Paz, Costa Rica Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Culture in San Jose.
