The Poetry for Peace contest was held from 15 September until 14 October 2011. The winners were anounced at a ceremony at UN headquarters in New York.
Below is one of the contest entries.
Haiku for Nagasaki I The willows leave on the walls a single shade. ¡And they are thousands of suns! ... II There is storm in the forest and in its golden side they pass cranes of autumn. III The street drips now pure clusterd rain. ¡Shine amber the faces!... IV And a mysterious aura just as it is on the rose sun´s fields ¡what suns!...for Nagasaki.
