The Poetry for Peace contest was held from 15 September until 14 October 2011. The winners were anounced at a ceremony at UN headquarters in New York.

The arms can force us To give up any gladness We never know our futures That’s decided by politics But we all nevertheless Should surely not dismiss How precious a piece Of happiness is I hope that piles Of trivial happiness Gives our minds the peace And then our peaceful minds Give the world the peace
