Paper Cranes

Poetry for Peace Contest

The Poetry for Peace contest was held from 15 September until 14 October 2011. The winners were anounced at a ceremony at UN headquarters in New York.

Below is one of the contest entries.

Blood everywhere
Orphans who once had parents that were killed in the atomic bomb
Many people without families
Battles going on when will they stop
Help us god, help the survivors
Everyone in Japan was effected
Lies the dead bodies of the people who wee killed in explosion
Lots of sorrow in the survivor's hearts.
