The Poetry for Peace contest was held from 15 September until 14 October 2011. The winners were anounced at a ceremony at UN headquarters in New York.
Below is one of the contest entries.
Disarm men, exonerate time Shreds of sinew still adrift the guilty skies guilt of falsity brevity of bravery still they say, time the culprit no mortal blamed no soul atoned. A jubilee of guilt past the diamond many eyes bled a million rubies many bodies, still bear the begrime scars many tongues still taboo the innocuous words, The little boy and the fat man. Whatever's gone done and dusted, no pearls can remorse the souls violated. One thing though can save time from another guilt. Disarm men. Exonerate time.
