The Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons will be opened for signature at a ceremony on 20 September 2017 at the United Nations Headquarters (UNHQ) in New York. NGOs working in the field of nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation are invited to attend the event.

Time: 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Date: Wednesday, 20 September 2017
Venue: Trusteeship Council Chamber, UNHQ, New York

IMPORTANT: 50 passes will be issued to civil society for the balcony level of the Trusteeship Council Chamber. Passes will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. The registration form will become available at this link on Wednesday, 6 September at 12:00 p.m. New York time (UTC−04:00), and it will automatically close upon receipt of the first 50 applications. ALL civil society participants must register through this process, and late registrations will not be accepted under any circumstances.

  2. Civil society representatives must register separately for each event they wish to attend during the high-level segment. This requirement extends to NGO colleagues who hold annual UN grounds passes issued through ECOSOC or DPI.
  3. Accepted registrants will receive details on entry procedures.
