United Nations Report on Military Expenditures

Governments can report to the UN their annual military spending to the United Nations.
Such transparency may increase confidence within regions and beyond. By making the figures publicly available, the UN encourages their verification and analysis.

Only governments can report to the UN Report on Military Expenditures.
States with no military expenditures may submit a “nil report”. Other states can use either a standardized reporting form
or a simplified reporting form.
