Goal: Develop tools and information to support implementation of international instruments for small arms control and armed violence prevention in Central America

Activities and Outputs:

  • IEPADES prepared studies on the situation of national laws, legislative gaps and proposals for the incorporation of the 4 content of theinternational arms instruments into national laws in target countries.

 

  • An assessment of national reporting under UNPoA was conducted, outlining progress and challenges of target countries.

 

  • Regional workshop in Guatemala

    The project analysed the functioning of the region’s National Commissions and their incorporation into or cooperation with civil society and supported the Government of Guatemala in taking steps towards establishing a National Commission.
