Article 7 reports

In accordance with Article 7 of the Convention, each State party is under obligation to report to the Secretary-General of the United Nations on various aspects of implementation. This information has to be updated by the States parties annually.

Reports should be submitted electronically in at least one of the official languages of the Convention using the below reporting guide.

When submitting national Art.7 reports many States parties make use of the below reporting formats adopted in 1999 and then revised on a few occasions. When the information to be provided in one or some of the reporting forms is the same as in past reports, the below cover page could be used instead of submitting detailed forms. Therefore, when using the cover page, only forms which contain new information would need to be submitted.

Each Article 7 report shall cover the last calendar year (i.e. 1 January through 31 December). Each report must be reported to the Secretary-General of the United Nations not later than 30 April of each year, in care of the following address:

Article 7 Database
