The United Nations commitment to empowering youth provided the incentive to organize three subregional workshops in 2005 in Bahrain, Morocco and Yemen. Participants included representatives from Governments, UN country offices, civil society organizations and other multi-sectoral stakeholders. This publication is a product of the ensuing dialogue between participants on the key issues that affect Arab youth, including globalization, media, unemployment, governance and gender equality.
