12th Meeting of National Recruitment Services and UN Organizations on the JPO Programme

The 12th Meeting of National Recruitment Services and UN Organizations on the JPO Programmes took place from 08 May to 10 May 2019 in Rome, Italy.

The Meeting was organized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs/ UN JPO Programme, as Inter-Agency Focal Point for JPO Programme Coordination in the UN Common System, and was generously hosted by the Government of Italy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

For many decades already, the biennial Meeting

  • served as a forum for a positive exchange of ideas and information between UN organizations and participating countries of the JPO Programmes
  • aimed at enhancing and further developing the existing programmes
  • strived to reach a high degree of harmonization, where desired
  • provided an opportunity to follow up on previous recommendations
