Indigenous Women and the United Nations System: The publication offers an overview of the work of the Task Force on Indigenous Women of the Inter-Agency Network on Women and Gender Equality (IANGWE). In 2005-2006, the Task Force collected 18 cases studies submitted by SCBD, FAO, IFAD, ILO, UNFPA, UNIFEM and UNDP about their work with indigenous women in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

It was prepared by the Office of the Special Adviser on Gender and Advancement of Women and the Secretariat of the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.
Mairin Iwanka Raya, Indigenous Women Stand against Violence: The International Indigenous Women’s Forum (FIMI) prepared a companion Report to the UN Secretay- General’s study on Violence against women. This report aims to incorporate a diverse array of Indigenous women’s experiences dealing with violence from different generations, regions, and communities around the world. It echoes, in many respects, the findings of decade of work by Indigenous women activists to combat violence against women. The report is available in English and Spanish.
