Professor Keith Nurse, Rapporteur of the Committee for Development Policy (CDP), introduced the Committee's Report on it's 19th Session to the ECOSOC Coordination and Management Meeting (CMM) held on 6 July 2017. The CDP's deliberations on LDC-related issues, including monitoring the development progress of graduating and graduated countries, the outline of a multi-year programme on a comprehensive review of the LDC criteria, a review of the recognition and use of the LDC category by United Nations development system entities, and the LDC graduation platform were presented to Council members. The Committee's considerations and recommendations on the issue of total official support for sustainable development (TOSSD) were also presented.

CMMs are part of ECOSOC's coordinating role and are held throughout the year. During the CMMs ECOSOC reviews and approves the latest reports from the Council's subsidiary and expert bodies.
