The Economic Analysis and Policy Division in the Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) will host the Expert Group Meeting “Harnessing the potential of critical minerals for sustainable development” on 29-30 May 2024. The participants will include 20-25 experts on critical minerals, green transition and industrial policy from international organizations, governments, think tanks, academia, and the private sector. The discussions will inform the United Nations’ flagship publication World Economic Situation and Prospects (WESP) 2025.
