Conference Room 6

One of the pillars of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals, and one which represents a critical improvement over the Millennium Development Goals, is the pledge to “leave no one behind”. As part of its current cycle of work the Committee for Development Policy (CDP) addressed multiple dimensions of the pledge to leave no one behind”.

During the 20th meeting of the CDP Plenary taking place from 12 to 16 March 2018, an entire session open to the public is dedicated to the topic of leaving no one behind. Members of the CDP, led by Marc Fleurbaey (@MFleurbaey) will present summaries of papers on “leaving no one behind”, followed by comments by Daniela Bas (@DanielaBasUN) and Sanjay Reddy (@SanjayGReddy) and a discussion on the topic. This session will also be broadcast live on webtv.un.org.

The 20th session of the CDP Plenary will also conduct its triennial review of the least developed country (LDC) category, monitor graduating and graduated LDCs and look at incentives for graduation from the LDC category.
