Mission Statement

UN DESA supports Member States in translating the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Addis Ababa Action Agenda (AAAA) and other relevant global policy frameworks into viable and effective national strategies, policies, and programmes that are integrated, evidence-based, inclusive, well-funded, and that leave no one behind.

2030 Agenda

2030 Agenda

The 2030 Agenda calls for each Government to “decide how these aspirational and global targets should be incorporated into national planning processes, policies and strategies” and states that “cohesive nationally owned sustainable development strategies, supported by integrated national financing frameworks, will be at the heart of our efforts”.
