Regional training on System of Environmental-Economic Accounting for countries of Western Asia and North Africa
UN DESA, in collaboration with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia, is organizing a training programme to strengthen the capacity of the countries in Western Asia and North Africa in support of the worldwide implementation of the System of Environmental-Economic Accounting (SEEA) 2012 Central Framework and environment-related Sustainable Development Goals indicators.
The training programme is comprised of an e-learning phase to be held February to March of 2018. It will be followed by an in-person phase in Amman, Jordan from 26 to 29 March 2018, organized in close cooperation with UN Environment, the Arab Institute for Training and Research in Statistics (AITRS) and the League of Arab States (LAS).
