Report of the Sixth Session of the Open-ended Working Group on Ageing

The report of the sixth session (New York, 14-16 July 2015) highlights existing international framework on the human rights of older persons and identification of existing gaps at the international level. It includes summaries of the panel discussions on the recent policy developments and initiatives concerning the human rights of older persons, recent legislative and legal developments and challenges in the human rights of older persons, proposals and measures, best practices, lessons learned protecting the rights and dignity of older persons, older persons and human rights in the post-2015 development agenda and the presentation by the Independent Expert on the enjoyment of all human rights by older persons. The report also includes the Chair’s summary of the key points of the discussions.
