6. Lists of issues or questions to States parties (Content Code B27)
Most
of the treaty bodies prepare lists of issues or requests to States parties for
information to be considered during examination of periodic reports. They may
be issued first in restricted-distribution draft versions (CRP in document symbols) followed by final versions in general
distribution.
The
word "draft" usually but not always appears in the title of draft versions. If
the word "draft" appears in an area of the title page but not as an integral
part of the title, assign it as an edition statement (tag 250) rather than other title information (tag 245 $b). If the word specifying that it is a draft version does not
appear, assign it in an edition statement between square brackets.
-
In general, index the lists of issues or questions with primary subject terms
only (tag 650 level 1).
Assign primary topical subject terms for the main subject(s) of the treaty, the
term PERIODIC REPORTS, and the
geographic term for the State party. See the list of "core" primary subject
terms under Periodic reports of States parties to UN human rights treaties.
-
Assign the title subject heading for the treaty (tag 630).
-
Assign the corporate name heading for the treaty body with its sessional
modifiers in tag 710.
-
Assign content code B27 (Treaty body
lists of issues and State replies to lists of issues) in tag 089 for final lists of issues.
-
Assign content code A17 to draft
lists of issues.
-
If bibliographic references are present, assign the appropriate note in tag 500.
