The United Nations Countering Terrorist Travel ('CT Travel') Programme, is pleased to share the latest events and news articles, through an “All-of-UN” partnership with the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Executive Directorate (CTED), the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the United Nations Office of Information and Communication Technology (UNOICT), the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), and in close cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Programme comprehensively assists beneficiary Member States in legislative, operational, transport industry engagement, and technical areas.

Manila – The United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), under the framework of its flagship Countering Terrorist Travel (‘CT Travel’) Programme,   launched the South East Asia regional Informal Working Group (IWG) on Advance Passenger Information (API) and Passenger Name Record (PNR) in Manila, the Philippines.

Vienna – The OSCE Transnational Threats Department and United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) delivered the 7th Passenger Data Exchange Seminar as a back-to back event with the 3rd in-person meeting of the Eastern European Informal Working Group on Passenger Data (EE IWG) on 8 to10 November 2023.

The High-Level Launch Event of the UN Countering Terrorist Travel Programme will take place on 7 May 2019 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. All Member States, international and regional organizations, as well as United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Compact Coordination Entities. This event will include the participation of the United Nations Secretary-General. It will be followed by Technical Interactive Sessions in the afternoon of 7 May and the morning of 8 May, during which various components of the Programme will be presented in detail.
