Through successive international conferences which took place in Riyadh and Brussels, the UNCCT has established a Global Network of Counter-Terrorism Centres, involving over 30 international, regional and national counter-terrorism institutions and relevant CTITF entities.
The objective of the network is to address new terrorism developments, share good counter-terrorism capacity-building practices and experiences, follow-up on existing joint initiatives and identify new opportunities for collaboration.
In order to support these efforts, the UNCCT has developed the Network against Terrorism (NAT) webportal, which is a collaborative platform designed for counter-terrorism centres. It is built to foster collaboration between counter-terrorism centres by sharing counter-terrorism information. It is a secured platform accessible via the Internet.
The web-portal is a practical tool for the relevant centres by providing linkages between expertise, research topics, geographical interests, etc.
