Disha Shetty is a science journalist based out of Bengaluru, India, where she is a reporting fellow with IndiaSpend. She writes mainly on public health, climate change and the intersection between the two. Disha has reported on maternal and child health, the spread of drug resistant tuberculosis in India's rural areas and the impacts of climate change throughout the country. She holds a master's degree in Science, Environment and Medicine Journalism from Columbia University in New York, and is the winner of Global Health Reporting Contest Award (2018). During the Fellowship, Disha will focus on climate action and India's role in global negotiations on the issue.
