From Africa Renewal: 

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has appointed François Louncény Fall of Guinea as acting Special Representative for Central Africa and Head of the UN Regional Office for Central Africa (UNOCA). Mr. Fall most recently served as vice-chairman of the Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission of the South Sudan Peace Agreement.  He succeeds Abdoulaye Bathily of Senegal. 


Hubert Price of United States has been appointed as Head of the UN Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS).  Prior to this appointment, Mr. Price served as director of mission support for the UN Mission in Liberia (UNMIL). 


Yagoub El Hillo of Sudan has been appointed as deputy special representative in the UN Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) as well as the United Nations resident coordinator and resident representative of the UN Development Programme (UNDP).  Most recently, Mr El Hillo served as the UN resident coordinator, humanitarian coordinator and UNDP resident representative in Syria.  He succeeds Antonio Vigilante of Italy.


Maria do Valle Ribeiro of Ireland has been appointed as deputy special representative and deputy head of the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL). Ms. do Valle Ribeiro will also serve as UN resident coordinator, humanitarian coordinator and resident representative of UNDP.
