This list is an informal compilation of published United Nations documents on issues related to the UN Special Commission (UNSCOM) and the implementation of section C of Security Council resolution 687 (1991). While the aim is a full list, there may well be additional UN sources. The titles given to the documents in this list are only informal descriptions designed to describe the main issues of interest from Special Commission's point of view.
The Special Commission's status, immunities and privileges The Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations of 13 February 1946. The Agreement on the Privileges and Immunities of the International Atomic Energy Agency of 1 July 1959. Security Council Resolution 687 (1991) of 3 April 1991. Security Council Resolution 707 (1991) of 15 August 1991. Security Council Resolution 715 (1991) of 10 October 1991 and the plans for ongoing monitoring and verification adopted thereunder, contained in documents S/22871/Rev.1 and S/22872/Rev.1/Corr.1. The exchange of letters of 6 and 17 May 1991 between the Secretary-General and the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Iraq, constituting the status agreement for the Special Commission in Iraq. The exchange of letters of 1 and 28 September 1991 between the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the Director General of the IAEA on the one part, and the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Bahrain on the other part, constituting the status agreement for the Field Office in Bahrain. This agreement has been extended by subsequent exchanges of letters.
