The United Nations Procurement Division website is a meeting point for current and potential UN Suppliers, Requisitioning Offices, UN Member States and UN staff members, and other parties interested in UN Procurement Activities. An important objective of the Internet site is to meet the increasing demands of Vendors seeking Registration and Business Opportunities with the UN.

The previous United Nations Procurement Division Internet Site was launched in the early 2000s using static HTML pages common at that time. Since the launch of this first version of UNPD’s Internet Site, UN Procurement has experienced a growing demand for transparent posting of real-time data such as Business Opportunities, Contract Awards and Procurement Statistics.
