Important notice regarding Bid submissions and public openings due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic

Bid/proposals submissions: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, effective immediately, the UN Secretariat will only solicit submissions of bid and proposals via electronic means. The solicitation documents issued by the procurement officials of the UN Secretariat will identify such mode of submission. Vendors are requested to follow the latest bid/proposal submission instructions sent by the respective procurement officials, and contact them should they do not receive new instructions for submission of bids/proposals. Vendors are advised that the UN will neither require nor accept physical bid/proposal submissions, whether by courier, FedEx, DHL, personal delivery, or similar physical means.

Public Bid (Tender) Openings: All public bid openings are cancelled effective immediately. Vendors who submitted bids as a result of Invitation to Bids may request the Bid Abstract Sheet (which includes the List of Vendors who submitted bids and the total price of their bids) within 30 days from the date of the Tender opening via email to pdbidsubmission@un.org. Vendors who submitted proposals as a result of a Request for Proposals may request the List of Vendors who submitted proposalswithin 30 days from the date of the Tender opening via email to pdbidsubmission@un.org.

The above is applicable notwithstanding what might otherwise be stated in the Procurement Manual, including its Chapter 7, on public opening.
