The United Nations New York Office of Sport for Development and Peace, under the guidance of Mr. Adolf Ogi, Special Adviser to the UN Secretary-General on Sport for Development and Peace, works on behalf of the United Nations system and with other partners to mobilize the power of sport to help improve the lives of individuals and their communities. Young people's strong interest in sport provides an entry point for mobilizing young leaders to take an active role in efforts to achieve the Millennium Development Goals by 2015.
The Vishwa Prawasi Bhartiya Leaders Forum (VPBLF) is a US-based
non-governmental organization funded by the Gita-Mohan Mittal
Foundation (GMMF). VPBLF’s membership, comprising non-resident
Indian global leaders, supports various socio-cultural organizations
to alleviate poverty, foster education with values of non-violence
and human unity, as well as interfaith dialogue and harmony. Inspired
by the Indian concept of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” or
the “World is One Family,” the VPBLF has held interfaith
peace dialogues in over 40 countries. It also funds community
centres, schools, hospitals and orphanages around the world.
ITRI believes that fostering shared human values and peace through a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of our global communities will develop the respect and understanding that are prerequisites for a peaceful world. ITRI supports peace building initiatives and United Nations efforts to promote economic and social progress through cultural preservation, training of youth leaders on peace and development issues, wider distribution of information technology, values education, multi-faith and multi-cultural dialogue and sustainable development initiatives.
The Global Peace Initiative of Women (GPIW) is an international, multi-faith network of women leaders who come together to stimulate peace building and reconciliation efforts in areas of conflict and post-conflict. These women, from the religious, government and civic sectors of society, share two primary goals: to bring alternative resources, be they spiritual, economic or educational, to aid in healing conflict; and to relieve the social and economic stresses that lead to violence.
A singular vision -- "The Network Is The Computer" -- guides Sun in
the development of technologies that power the world's most important
markets. Sun's philosophy of sharing innovation and building
communities is at the forefront of the next wave of computing: the

The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) is an organisation of journalists, students and media-related professionals that provides quality programs and services to and advocates on behalf of black journalists worldwide. NABJ is cooperating with Asian-American and Hispanic journalists’ organizations to set up a team of student journalists that will provide daily coverage of activities on the UN Global Youth Leadership Summit website.
Eurosport is the largest European sports satellite and cable network available in 54 countries and broadcasting in 18 different languages. In addition to broadcasting coverage of the European Youth Leadership Summit, Eurosport will also cover the UN Global Youth Leadership Summit.
Global Education and Learning Community (GELC) is a gathering place for teachers, academics, researchers, programmers, authors, corporate trainers, administrators, public officials, students and others. Its mission is to improve global education by empowering teachers, students and parents with self-paced, web based, free and open content (curriculum resources, assessment) combined with best practices for advancing student achievement world wide.
