The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) has launched a photo contest on gender equality to celebrate United Nations Day in partnership with United Nations partners, funds and agencies in Asia and the Pacific. The contest is open to anyone, and can be submitted in two categories; digital submissions and submissions through Instagram. Digital submissions should be emailed to UN4UPhoto@un.org with caption and details about the photographer. Submissions through Instagram should be shared using #UN4Uphoto.
The deadline for submissions is 10 October 2014. Submissions must be from any country of the Asia and Pacific region.
Winning photographs will be displayed by ESCAP at their United Nations Day observance on 24 October and featured in their work on gender equality.
