Earlier this month, on the occasion of the International Day of the Girl Child, the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts launched in collaboration with UN Women “Voices Against Violence”, a co-educational curriculum. This curriculum aims at providing young people with tools and expertise to increase their awareness on causes of violence, prevention and access to support if violence is experienced.

The curriculum includes a range of tools that allow young people to use non-formal education, story telling and games in peer-education activities. These tools can be adapted to national contexts, translated into local languages and used in schools and communities in partnership with youth organisations, UN partners and governments.
