From 9-11 September, the United Nations Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth will be taking part in the BYND 2015 Global Youth Summit on Information and Communications Technology, organized by ITU and the Government of Costa Rica.  The Youth Summit will bring together young people from around the world, online and offline, to share and reflect on the role of ICT in the Post-2015 Development Agenda.

BYND 2015 represent a platform for young people to ensure their inclusion in the most important decisions of the 21st Century. The Global Youth Summit: BYND 2015 will assemble young people from all corners of the globe with a view to highlighting their priorities and capturing their combined voice in crucial national and international policy and decision making processes. Young people have already submitted 800 ideas, generating 13,000 votes! The outcomes of the Summit will include a crowdsourced multimedia statement which will be presented to Heads of States at the United Nations General Assembly in 2013.
