During 2000 and 2001 OSAGI focused considerable attention on developing tools to support gender mainstreaming (see:presentation IANWGE).  Briefing notes are under preparation in collaboration with departments and regional commissions. A series of briefing notes on disarmament were launched at a panel on gender and disarmament to coincide with the forty-fifth session (2001) of the Commission on the Status of Women.  Briefing notes are being finalized on economics, trade, statistics, population, public administration, crime, drugs and environment.

As outlined in Concepts and Definitions earlier,  fact sheets have been prepared on concepts. Fact sheets  are also available on Security Council resolution 1325 and gender mainstreaming in national budgets

An Overview of Gender Mainstreaming has been published.  (See concepts and definitions).
