Summary:
An introductory statement was made by a representative of the Secretariat. Statements were made by the representatives of Sweden and Thailand. The Vice-President of Gabon, Mr. Didjob Divungi Di Ndinge, addressed the Plenary. Statements were also made by the representatives of Ukraine, the Philippines, China, El Salvador, Angola, Germany, Italy, Cuba, Argentina, Egypt, Indonesia and Viet Nam.

Summary:
The Executive Secretary of the Congress made an introductory statement followed by an audio-visual presentation. Workshop 5. Measures to Combat Economic Crime, including Money-Laundering
Summary:
A workshop on measures to combat economic crime, including money-laundering was organized with the assistance of the UNAFEI and the Swedish National Economic Crimes Bureau. The first session on economic crime consisted of two panels during which presentations were made on trends of economic crime and countermeasures followed by case-based discussion on economic crime. Statements were made by the representatives of the Chile, Islamic Republic of Iran, Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, Brazil, the Philippines and Argentina.
