The Global Speech
Now more than ever we cannot say that what is happening on the other side of the border does not matter: environmental degradation, human rights, nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation concerns us all- as citizens of our countries, as citizens of our world. The United Nations is working to promote an inclusive globalization; it was conceived as an international forum to find global solutions to common problems, bringing closer the day when poverty is no longer a fact of life.
