ACCESS Abu Dhabi 2013
Location: Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi International Conference on Special Needs (Access Abu Dhabi) is an annual event organised by the special needs sector at the Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs (ZHO) since 2006.
The annual conference that runs for 3 days provides a forum to present and discuss research results, shared experiences and best practices in all areas of family support to empower people with special needs.
It also facilitates an opportunity for schools and centres specialised in special need care and rehabilitation to share their expertise with a select group of professionals, parents and students from across the UAE. Schools and colleges specialising in higher education of the deaf, blind and physically challenged categories can participate in the conference.
The conference agenda comprises a number of presentations by keynote speakers on the theme of the event, accompanied by posters and workshops.
The conference also provides international publishers an opportunity to showcase texts and learning materials in the field of special needs care, rehabilitation and inclusion. The exhibitors can network within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and support the strategic plan of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council to introduce international best practices in the field of special needs inclusion and education.
