2011 Annual Review
Dear NGO Colleagues,
As you well know, last year we launched the Annual Review, a yearly process that allows NGO Relations to evaluate the work of each DPI-Associated NGO; update the NGO’s contact information for our database; and obtain the names of the individuals who will represent the organization at the United Nations.
We are pleased to announce that we have expanded the number of passes for youth representatives to two (2). This raises the total number of yearly grounds passes for each NGO to six (6): One for the Head of the NGO; one for the Main Representative; two for the first and second Alternate Representatives; and two for the first and second Youth Representatives (ages 18 - 24 years old)
This new process, which is a combination of the previously used Accreditation Form and the Quadrennial Report, has allowed our office to update our records and clearly identify those NGOs which are active and those ones that need encouragement to keep up with their DPI commitment.
Needless to say this process is important and relevant in maintaining good status with DPI. Failure to maintain official contact with NGO Relations through the Annual Review can lead an organization to being disassociated.
For this reason, we are also pleased to inform you that the 2011 Annual Review will open on 25 October 2011 for the NGOs to fill out and submit. The deadline will be 31 January 2012. Please note that this deadline is final and will not be extended . The process will take place online through the CSONet. All NGOs associated with DPI have a profile in the system, and the heads of the organizations should have the usernames and passwords to log in.
Please fill out your Annual Review as soon as possible. Leaving this process for the last minute will most likely cause problems.
Please read carefully the guidelines and follow the directions as indicated. Should you encounter problems or difficulties, you can contact Felipe Queipo at the Resource Centre at undpingo@un.org or by calling +1 (212) 963 7232 / 7233. We ask that you write down the details of the areas where you are having problems in order to expedite the resolution of the issue, and indicate in the subject line ANNUAL REVIEW.
In a future announcement we will inform you on when and how you can retrieve your passes for 2012.
We look forward to receiving your Annual Review as soon as possible.
REMINDER [Sent 13 January, 2012]
