An atomic bomb decimated the Japanese city of Hiroshima, with Nagasaki attacked several days later. More than 100,000 people were killed instantly in the two cities, with hundreds of thousands more dying from the blasts’ impacts. -This realizing of a world free of nuclear weapons and ensuring that there will be no proliferation of nuclear materials and weapons, this is one of the top priorities not only of the United Nations, but humankind.
