Elizabeth Mason

Elizabeth Mason is Director of the WHO Department of Child and Adolescent Health and Development, leading a team of more than 100 professionals at headquarters, in regional offices and in many countries. A specialist in public health, particularly maternal and child health, Dr. Mason spent 24 years living and working in the African region. In Zimbabwe, she worked with OXFAM and then with the Ministry of Health. She also worked with WHO in Harare as Regional Adviser for child and adolescent health.
