FIFA and UN Team Up to Help Fight Ebola 15 September 2014
Geneva, Switzerland (UNOSDP, FIFA, UN) - With the Ebola outbreak spreading through West Africa, football’s world governing body, the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has joined the United Nations in its efforts to help control the epidemic. Last Thursday, it was announced that the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in the Liberian capital Monrovia will be used to set up two large Ebola treatment units.

The 12th UNOSDP Youth Leadership Programme Begins Today in Gwangju, Republic of Korea 18 August 2014
Gwangju, Republic of Korea (UNOSDP) - Today marks the beginning of the United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace's (UNOSDP) 12th Youth Leadership Programme (YLP).  This YLP will be held in Gwangju, Republic of Korea and is organized by UNOSDP, Right to Play, and the 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade Organizing Committee (hereinafter GUOC).

Ancient Olympia (UNOSDP & IOTC) - United Nations (UN) Special Adviser on Sport for Development and Peace, Mr Wilfried Lemke, was recently in Ancient Olympia to meet with several key representatives from the International Olympic Truce Committee (IOTC) and to attend the IOTC Imagine Peace Youth Camp 2014.
