  • Les bleus de l'eau
    Art continuel is a group of multidisciplinary women artists who organize art exhibition on topics related to United Nations' concerns, such as peace, poverty and tolerance. For the Water Decade, a group of artists composed a set of paintings related to water "Les bleus de l'eau" which will be exhibited from July 2013 until the end of 2015 in different exhibition halls in Quebec, Canada.

  • Environment Canada
    Environment Canada is a diverse organization where programs, services, and people lead the way in implementing the Government of Canada's environmental agenda. Their aim is to protect the environment, to conserve the country's natural heritage, and to provide weather and meteorological information for information of the population. Environment Canada joined the Decade's Campaign and promoted the Decade with a bilingual (English/French) children booklet Explore water with Holly Heron/À la découverte de l'eau avec notre ami le heron titleed at children aged 5-9. Designed to increase children's knowledge and understanding about water through simple activities and experiments the booklet was provided free-of-charge for educational purposes. Between 2005 and 2006, 30,000 copies of the booklet were produced with all copies distributed by January 2008.

  • StepUp: H2O
    StepUp: H2O is an international youth camp in Vancouver, Canada, organized by Childrens International Summer Villages (CISV) that opened in July 2013. It was attended by youths between 14 and 15 years old. As part of the educational component of the camp, the theme for the camp was 'H2O'. The youth delegates explored issues regarding water.

  • A Community Dialogue: Water is a Human Right
    The California Central Valley Journey for Justice is a small membership organization that advocates and educates on social justice issues. It has celebrated the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights for several years. This year, they have chosen the theme of "water" to bring awareness on the human rights aspect of all human beings being guaranteed a right to water. The event will take place on Saturday, 13 December 2014. The California Central Valley Journey for Justice has joined the Water for Life Decade’s campaign and the logo will be used to advertise the event.

  • International Calendar
    Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCV) is a non-profit group in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. The RPCV has published an International Calendar for the past 28 years. The purpose of the calendar is to raise awareness of other cultures and promote peace and better understanding. Proceeds from the calendar are donated to education and development projects around the world. The 2015 featured word is WATER. The calendar will promote the Water for Life Decade by including its logo on the back cover and inside pages of the calendar.

  • Sisters of Charity
    The Earth Committee of the organization Sisters of Charity has taken Water as one of the primary issues for education and advocacy over the years. In this matter, the Water for Life Decade logo has been used on website and in newsletters whenever an article about water was published, calling attention to the work of the UN regarding water; on three yearly displays at the yearly NY Catholic Teacher's Institute; at various environmental fairs.

  • Sisters of Notre Dame Summer (SND) Service Experience
    The SND Summer Service Experience is a three day retreat for high school students who are interested in an opportunity to engage more directly in the charism and mission of the Sisters of Notre Dame by working together with people in need to develop a greater awareness of the conditions and causes of poverty. The Sisters of Notre Dame joined the Water for Life Decade campaign in summer 2006 during a Summer Service Experience for students from six high schools and one college. During this summer activity fitness bottles, printed with the Water for Life Decade Logo, were distributed among the participants and accompanied by awareness raising activities on water use.

  • Wyland Foundation
    The Wyland Foundation has helped children and families around the US to rediscover the importance of healthy oceans and waterways through public art programs, classroom science education, and live events. The foundation is a non-profit organization and has worked directly with more than one million children since its inception in 1993. The Wyland Foundation joined the Water for Life Decade's campaign by developing the following activities:
    • The Wyland Clean Water Mobile Learning Center is a bilingual (English/Spanish) travel exhibit on water for schools, events, or community centers.
    • FOCUS is a unique partnership launched on June 11, 2009 between the US Forest Service, national ocean and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the Wyland foundation that inspires water conservation and natural resource appreciation from the forest to the sea. It is titleed for young people to become clean water ambassadors working within their communities
    • Mayor's Challenge for Water Conservation is a friendly competition between cities locally and across the nation to see who can be the most "water wise". The program provides opportunities for people to participate in localize online pledge drives to save energy, reduce landfill waste, and encourage overall resource conservation by reducing their "water footprint". At the same time, participants have opportunities to win prizes for their city.
