Marka Camp

Marka camp, known locally as Hitten, was established in 1968 on an area of 917,000 square metres, 10 km north east of Amman. UNRWA's installations in the camp also provide services for the refugees in the camp's surroundings.

NGOs

There are ten active NGOs in the camp, which organize cultural activities and run an educational enhancement programme for children.

  • One Women’s Programme Centre which provides training courses for women (sewing and embroidery, handicrafts and hairdressing), kindergarten & awareness activities.

  • One Community based Rehabilitation Centre
