COMMUNITY REHABILITATION CENTRES

The community-based programme for the rehabilitation and integration of refugees with disabilities is run by locally-recruited committees and rehabilitation workers with support from UNRWA. Through 32 community rehabilitation centres and projects, local committees are raising community awareness of the needs and rights of people with disabilities. The centres provide basic rehabilitation, refer people to specialist services, and assist adults with disabilities to secure appropriate technical training and employment.
