SUPPLIER REGISTRATION
UNRWA maintains
a Register of Approved Suppliers for the items procured on a
regular basis.
Companies willing to do business with UNRWA need to apply to the
Register, only after approval can they participate in UNRWA
tenders. |

|
Chief, Procurement and Logistics
Division at Headquarters and Field Procurement and Logistics Officers in
each Field will maintain their own Register of Approved Suppliers as
international procurement at UNRWA is carried out by the
Procurement and Logistics Division at Headquarters (Amman). Procurement
and Logistics Departments in UNRWA's five Fields in the area of operations
are authorized to undertake local procurement only. New suppliers
are added to the Register after investigation of suitability. The
investigation involves consideration of several factors such as:
-
Financial standing,
-
Core business,
-
Track record,
-
Contract capacity;
to be followed later by performance
evaluation as a supplier such as:
-
Periodic testing of the supplier's
products,
-
Ability to respond quickly to
Agency's needs,
-
Timely delivery,
-
Dependability of products and
services.

Please
complete and submit online the
supplier contact form. You will be sent a
company profile form with all the information on requirements for
registration if your product range is suitable for any of the
Agency's programmes. Companies may also register through
United Nations Global
Marketplace (UNGM) Website which is a supplier database available to
UNRWA and other UN agencies. |

UNRWA supports the
UN
Global Compact Initiative - put
forward on 31 January 1999, by UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan that would
bring companies together with UN agencies, labor and civil society to
support ten principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the
environment, and anti-corruption. We encourage our suppliers to sign up
with the UN Global Compact Initiative. Consequently we have
included environmental factors in our pre-qualification criteria for
approval of suppliers and even in our tendering and tender evaluation
process. The supplier contact
form includes an
Environmental Management Questionnaire which is a part of the
pre-evaluation process |
We appreciate your
feedback on our business processes.
