UNRWA Social Services was set up to encourage self-reliance in the
refugee community through poverty alleviation schemes, and
community-based, locally-managed institutions and services concerned with
women and development, the rehabilitation and integration of refugees with
disabilities, and youth activities and leadership training. The
Procurement and Logistics Division purchases the requirements of these
institutions and centers.
